Picnic is an online supermarket that delivers groceries to your home for free. Unlike flash delivery companies such as Gorillas or Getir, Picnic does not focus on speed, but on convenience and low prices. You order your groceries via the app, choose a delivery time, and they come and deliver it with their well-known small electric cars.

They have a complete range, comparable to a regular supermarket: bread, vegetables, dairy, meat, cleaning products, you name it. Picnic tries to keep prices low by purchasing smartly and only delivering at fixed times. This way they do not have to keep large stocks and it remains efficient.

Another difference with flash delivery companies is that with Picnic you often order a day in advance. So it is ideal for your weekly groceries, but less suitable if you need something right away.

Picnic started in the Netherlands and is now active in several countries and is especially popular in residential areas and suburbs, where flash delivery companies come less often.
