Paris FC is a professional football club based in Paris, France. The club was founded in 1969 and plays its home matches at the Stade Charléty, which has a capacity of about 20,000 spectators.
Paris FC has mostly competed in Ligue 2 and the lower divisions of French football, with occasional attempts to reach Ligue 1. The club’s colors are blue and white, and it is sometimes referred to simply as PFC.
Originally, Paris FC was created with the goal of establishing a major professional team in Paris, but it merged briefly with Stade Saint-Germain in 1970 to form Paris Saint-Germain. The merger was later undone, leaving Paris FC as a separate club.
