Olympique Lyonnais, often abbreviated to OL or Lyon, is a French football club founded in 1950. The club grew to become one of the largest in France, especially in the early 2000s. Between 2002 and 2008, Lyon won seven consecutive league titles, a unique achievement in French football. The club is known for its professional organization and strong youth academy.

Lyon’s home games are played at the Groupama Stadium, also known as Parc OL. This modern stadium is located in Décines-Charpieu, a suburb of Lyon, and was opened in 2016.
