Nieuwe Revu is a Dutch weekly magazine that has been around since 1968. The magazine is known for its outspoken tone, strong opinions, journalistic reports and interest in subjects such as crime, sports, entertainment and popular culture. In its heyday, Nieuwe Revu was the magazine for the “common man”, with a lot of attention for football, car racing, sex, drinking, and stories about the rougher life.
Over the years, the magazine has undergone various transformations, with changing editors and styles. In the 70s and 80s it had a solid circulation and was loved for its sharp pen and guts. Later, Revu had to fight more and more to survive in a changing media landscape.
