Everton Football Club was founded in 1878 and is one of the oldest and most traditional clubs in England. Based in Liverpool, the club has played its home games at Goodison Park since 1892, a classic residential stadium renowned for its character and atmosphere. Everton has been playing at the top level almost continuously since the formation of the English Football League in 1888.

The club enjoyed great success in the early 20th century and the 1980s, winning several league titles, FA Cups and a European trophy (the 1985 European Cup Winners’ Cup). Despite difficult seasons in recent years, Everton remains a major force in English football, with a strong identity and a loyal fan base known as the “Toffees.”

Everton’s home city of Liverpool is a port city with a rich culture, musical history and deep football pride. While Liverpool FC is the bigger name internationally, Everton remains firmly rooted in the community, with strong ties to the local community. The club will move to a new, modern stadium on the River Mersey in the coming years, opening a new chapter in its history.
