Real Club Celta de Vigo, usually simply referred to as Celta, is a football club from the city of Vigo, located in the northwestern region of Galicia in Spain. The club was founded in 1923 and plays its home games at the charming Estadio de Balaídos, where the atmosphere is often intimate but intense.
Celta is one of those clubs that always hovers somewhere between the mid-table and the sub-top. They are known for their technical and attacking style of play and have produced and signed many talented players over the years, such as Iago Aspas, the club legend and local hero. He is the heart and soul of Celta – a striker with flair, character and a good dose of grit.
