Eyüpspor is a football club from the Eyüp district of Istanbul, founded in 1919. The club’s traditional colors are purple and yellow, and it is one of the older community-based clubs in the city. For much of its history, Eyüpspor played in the lower divisions of Turkish football, but in recent years it has risen in prominence thanks to stronger investment and management. As of the 2020s, the club has been competing in the TFF First League (second tier) and pushing for promotion to the Süper Lig.

The team plays its home matches at Eyüp Stadium, a modest ground with a capacity of around 3,000, located in the Eyüp district on the Golden Horn. Despite its small size, the stadium has a strong neighborhood atmosphere and reflects the club’s deep local roots.

Eyüp is one of Istanbul’s historically important districts, home to the Eyüp Sultan Mosque, a major religious and cultural landmark. Eyüpspor represents this traditional part of the city, and its recent rise has given local supporters hope of seeing their team face Istanbul’s biggest clubs in the top division.
