RC Strasbourg, Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace in full, is a French football club founded in 1906. The club has a turbulent history, having played in both the top and lower divisions of French football. In 1979, Strasbourg won its first and only league title. After financial problems and a resumption in the lower divisions, the club returned to Ligue 1 in 2017 and has since regained a stable position in the top flight.

Strasbourg plays its home games at the Stade de la Meinau, a traditional stadium originally opened in 1914. The stadium is located in the south of the city and has a capacity of around 26,000 spectators. There are plans for renovation to make the stadium more modern and comfortable for fans and players.

The club is based in Strasbourg, a city in northeastern France, close to the German border. Strasbourg is the capital of the Grand Est region and is also home to important European institutions. The club has a strong regional identity and is supported by a passionate Alsatian audience.
