Getir is a delivery service that focuses on delivering groceries quickly. You order via their app or website, and within about 10 to 20 minutes a delivery person will be at your door with everything you need. They work from their own small warehouses in the city, so they can deliver quickly.

The range is quite extensive: from fresh bread, vegetables and fruit to snacks, soft drinks and even toilet paper or cat food. Handy if you have forgotten something, or simply do not feel like going to the store.

Getir is originally a Turkish company and is now active in several countries, including the Netherlands. In the big cities you often encounter their purple delivery people. They mainly focus on convenience and speed, although the prices are sometimes a bit higher than in a regular supermarket. But you do not have to leave the house – and that is worth the money for many people.
